A Game Called Happy Wheels

By Andrew Waller

Many people today play games online. These games could be of various different categories. Some games are labeled as action and some others are called strategic games. These are but two types from a vast and ever-growing industry. Now people are talking about a flash based game and they want to know the following: "Have you played Happy Wheels?".

One of the reasons why Flash plug-ins became so popular, is that it gave the gamer the opportunity to play more complex games. This is a really big thing for most gamers out there. Flash based games is called so according to the technology used to graphically enhance the players experience.

If someone should be interested in playing this game everyone is talking about, they could use their internet browser to search for keywords like "Happy Wheels". Web browsers are tools that allow lots of information to become available at the click of a mouse. Once the web page for the demo has been found, one can play this limited version and build your own levels, find some general info on the game, and more.

By playing the demo the browser can decide if they like the game or not. This is just the beginning for the ones who do like it and decide to go for the real thing. The web page also contains keywords to help each player to start this adventurous journey.

The options button gives the gamer the opportunity to play around with the graphics of the game. Terms like quality, maximum particles, smoothing and compressed textures are used. A keen gamer should not find this in any form demanding, but if you are still a beginner the advice would be to rather not bother with the options section. Unless you would like to mute the sound for some reason, as the mute button is also located in the options section.

Now, for the gamers who wished they were actually game developers, there is also a tab where you can build your own level! Some even call it the ultimate challenge! Those gamers who wish to save and share their creation, are invited to register at the mother-site of this game. Registration doesn't cost anything and you are now part of a community who can share their unique levels with one another and take a vote on it.

The controls needed to play are all located on a standard keyboard and therefore no additional equipment is required. The main action are controlled by the space bar and the secondary actions by the shift, control and z keys, which is situated close together so that one can easily use the left hand for this group of actions. The right hand situated on the arrow keys, allowing the participant to either accelerate using the up arrow or decelerate using the down arrow. And the forward and back keys allocated to the actions of leaning forward and leaning back.

Before leaving this specific site, any browser who likes a laugh could visit the interesting credits section that lists those who the developer wish to thank and then also those he would not wish to thank for their contribution, or lack thereof, during the developmental stage of this now so trendy game. For those who loved the demo, loved the editing section and simply loved everything that is Happy Wheels, the full version is available on a different website. The link to this site is contained in the demo site, so going all the way should be to difficult. At this point it won't be necessary to ask "Have you played Happy Wheels" anymore. Because, as we all know by now, you have.
