A complete overview of the proflight simulator

By Vickie T. Huffaker

If you can`t afford to take real pilot lessons than there is no reason why you shouldn't try to fly with some of the airplane computer simulators. The proflight simulator is one of the best if not the best out there. That is a fact that can be read in almost any proflightsimulator review. However, a skeptic would say that too many people write reviews and one cannot rely too much on what is said in those reviews. That is to a certain point true. The thing is that some of those reviews are written by former pilots that have plenty of experience both with simulators and with real planes.

The thing is that every review made by a pilot or maybe even former air traffic controller agrees that it is a great simulator. They are professionals that know what they write about and they can exactly what the good and what the bad features are of the simulator. The main problem for most of us is because sometimes we can`t tell if the proflight simulator review is written by such professional or by someone that doesn't have a clue what he is talking about.

The easiest way to tell is by the terms that are used in the review. Someone that doesn't know what a good simulator is will say stuffs such as the commands were too complicated, the plane crashed every time even though I was doing everything right and staff such as that. Plus he would be blaming everyone from the designers of the simulator to the stupid controls.

Well, that is so mainly because the majority of people expect that they can use the simulator without any learning and training. On the other hand if you are not well prepared you won`t be able to do anything. If you spend some time learning, including Play airplane landing games then you will be fine. The best way for making a difference that is surely made by an aviator. That way you can see the used terms and you can do a small comparison. You will see how it looks a review made by an aviator and one made by common people.

Another way for finding a good simulator is to ask your flight instructor to recommend you one. The odds are good that he knows a good one that he recommends to his pilot students. Even if you are not attending pilot school you can ask some of the instructors that work there and they will tell you what simulator to go with. There are Airplane landing games you can play which are also as helpful.
