Tips and Tricks for Better Gaming for Left Handed Mouse Users

By Theodore Mcleod

When you participate in online gaming communities, you may get proficient with a left handed mouse, but you learn lots of other things as well. There is obviously something to the online gaming phenomenon, as millions of players compete in hugely popular role playing games such as World of Warcraft and EverQuest and a wide variety of other MMORPGs (Massive MultiPlayer Online Role Playing Games). For some players, gaming is the most important thing in their lives. Others only play once in a while. Which type will you end up turning into? How do you get the most out of gaming? The following are some guidelines that will make you into a more accomplished gamer.

That left handed mouse will appreciate getting a rest from time to time. Take a much needed brain break from gaming once in a while. It is imperative to take good care of both the body and mind, this can be a complicated task if you are not taking intermittent breaks from your games to exercise and eat right. Those who find themselves sleep deprived and forgetting to eat will also notice they are more frustrated with their poor gaming skills. Of course we all know how addicting the sheer number of worldwide MMORPG's can be. It is imperative that you do yourself the favor of taking breaks regularly. Of course you already know it is more beneficial to return to that game fully refreshed than allowing yourself to get burned out.

You'll need to spend some time at the right online communities such as sites, blogs, and forums. Why is that a must-do action? Remember - you need to show your community that you're involved and committed; so to that end you have to be there, be knowledgeable and informed; plus there are game fixes/patches that come out as well as other info. Also, a lot of these kinds of important pieces of information are only announced in forums, etc.

Don't be afraid to ask for help. It can feel strange if you're new to a left-handed mouse and keyboard shortcuts. If you can find one, ask someone else who is left-handed for any tips or pointers. After you're done playing, it's always a great idea to ask the person if they can offer any constructive criticism. People love feeling needed and that they're good at something, so that's why it's not hard to find others willing to give you some friendly advice. If you become good, then the situation will be reversed and you will be called upon to help others.

So don't be a prima dona or a brat because that will bring everyone down. As always... if you're a lefty, there's so much more to online gaming than having that whiz-bang left-handed mouse. Get your left-handed mouse, if you need one, and have fun.
